Leanchoil – continuing over a century of service
to the Forres community

Leanchoil is a treasured landmark in Forres, Moray, which served the community for over 125 years. Once a bustling cottage hospital, its doors closed in 2018 and has since lain empty.

Not for much longer.

Leanchoil Trust, with the support of the people of the Forres area and our funders, is working to bring this amazing property back into service for the community.

Leanchoil Trust, Forres Health & Wellbeing

Leanchoil will be a place where innovative health facilities will meet the needs of the many in our area. We know breathing new life into this special facility is ambitious, but our community has shown its desire to save Leanchoil and create a place that will serve us once again.

This unique building and beautiful grounds will offer activities and services to support wellbeing, social engagement, volunteering, employment and learning for all ages, bringing long-lasting benefit to the people of Forres and its rural communities.

Get Involved

There are different ways to help the Leanchoil project become a reality.

MEMBERSHIP

Leanchoil Trust is a membership organisation. By becoming a member you help move the project forward and it shows those funding us we have community support. It costs you nothing! Find out more about the benefits and sign up here

DONATE

You can make one-off or regular donations. Donations can be boosted by gift aid if you are able. Businesses can donate via their corporate and social responsibility budgets or adopt the Leanchoil Trust as their chosen charity. To discuss either option please contact us (see details at bottom of the page). Finally, please consider a bequest in your will.

FUNDRAISE

We’d be honoured if you choose to nominate us in any of your charity fundraising efforts, whether it’s sponsorship for a walk or for a parachute jump. Talk to us and we can help with your plans and publicise your event.
