‘Our Leanchoil’ is a six-month project to collect the community stories of Leanchoil Hospital and share them on a new digital archive. It is part of the larger Leanchoil Trust project to restore and repurpose the hospital as a community health & wellbeing hub and veterans’ activity centre for the people of Forres and beyond.
Leanchoil Trust are delighted that the Asset Transfer Request for Leanchoil was submitted to NHS Grampian on 16th December 2021 and kick starts the community asset transfer process which should take a maximum of 18 months.
The coming year will involve a lot of work and challenges, but we are all excited by the prospect of ownership of Leanchoil returning to the community.
We will of course need your ongoing support and will update you on progress as it happens through further engagement events, Facebook and our website.
